The Hall

The hall is 9 metres wide and 12 metres long. There is a high vaulted ceiling. The whole length of one wall is taken up by large patio doors which can be opened onto a decking area. The opposite side has Velux windows. There are curtains on the windows and blinds on the Velux windows. We have underfloor heating in the hall and throughout the building.

There is a remote-controlled white screen on one wall which can be used for films and presentations. There are very many electrical points.

There is a serving hatch through to the kitchen.

Meeting's Room

The meetings room is 5 metres long and 5 metres wide. Again, we have underfloor heating and there is a large floor to ceiling window and two Velux windows. There are curtains and blinds on the windows. Again, there are many electrical points.

Kitchen

We have a large modern kitchen which is fully equipped to cater for most events. As well as having plenty of work surfaces, we have a large double oven ‘Range Master’ cooker.  The hob has an induction hob and we provide all the necessary pots and pans to be used on this cooker. We have a fridge freezer, microwave, coffee makers, water urns and much more.

Toilets

We have male and female lavatories. There are two toilets in each one. We have one unisex disabled toilet.

Accessibility

The Village hall is completely accessible. There are parking spaces very close to the entrance. The entrance is wide with no steps. There is a disabled toilet. All doors are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

Wifi

There is Wifi throughout the village hall.

Outside Facilities

There is plenty of parking around the Village Hall. The carpark at the front which accommodates about 10 cars. For larger events it is possible to park cars on the grass area around the hall which accommodates 50+ cars.

The large playing field which surrounds the hall has extensive play equipment, adult fitness equipment and goal posts.

Caravanning and Camping

Along one side of the Village hall there are 5 electric hook ups for caravans. It is possible to camp in this space as well. On the same side of the hall is an external toilet and shower room for use of those camping.

120 seated

200 standing.

Meeting’s room:

14 seated

24 standing.

Equipment for events and general use.

Approximate numbers only  have been written below because loss and damage happens all the time. The hirer is welcome to come and count cutlery and crockery if they are looking to use the maximum available.

Chairs

We currently have 150 chairs available.

Oblong tables

25 – These can sit up to 6 comfortably, or 8 with a chair at both ends. These tables are not to be taken outside.

Outside

We have about 8 tables and around 12 plastic chairs. These are older, more battered tables and plastic chairs.

Plates & Bowls

Dinner plates, Side plates, Bowls. We have just over a hundred of each of these. They are plain white.

Cups & Saucers

Tea cups and saucers. Approximately 100 available.

Wine Glasses

Approximately 100 available.

Other Glasses

Miscellaneous glasses. Quite a few, come and check what we have.

Utensils

Knives, Forks, Dessert spoons ,Tea spoons. Approximately 100 of each of these.

Other

Hot water urns, Kettles, Large tea pots, Coffee makers. Pots and pans for use on the induction hob. There are several of these. Ask the person who shows you around to show you these things. Check then if they meet your needs.

Vintage china

We have a collection of eclectic shabby chic vintage china. These include cup saucers and side plates (organised into trios) Two and three tier cake stands and some vintage tea pots. Ideal for afternoon teas and other occasions. These are hired out separately for events. Please contact us for prices.

Some of the things we do not supply:

Table cloths, Tea towels, Washing up/ cleaning up paraphernalia, Towels

Charges for hiring the Village Hall or meeting room

As a general rule for large events like wedding receptions we will always want to meet the hirer before there is a booking. Usually people contact us to view the hall to see if it is suitable for their needs. These charges are sometimes subject to a small change. Please confirm prices when you speak to us.

Other – £12.00 per hour

£70.00 for a whole day

Meeting room

Wedding Receptions

Preparation day – £100.00

Wedding reception day – £450.00

Half day clear up free.

Big Parties/
christenings/
wakes etc

£100.00 for all day.
